James took these great shots of the all new Web414 show in action last Thursday. I particularly like this shot because it shows that we’re having fun.

Or at least sneezing.

One of the things I really wanted to do with Web414 was to make it more conversational. So I started hosting it like it was a TV show. I feel like the event is more participatory if you can wrap it in a paradigm people are comfortable with. Also, guests don’t feel like they need to carry the whole presentation.

So we’re trying this out now. We’re working on getting better video and a slightly more polished podcast into the stream, but for now it’s a big enough challenge just to come up with programming and guests.
